Catherine Garcia, M.D.
Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates of Palm Beach
Dr. Catherine Garcia was born in New York and has lived most of her life between New York and the Dominican Republic. She received her medical degree with honors from Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. Her internship was completed in Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Her internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship were both successfully completed at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She moved to the Palm Beaches with her husband after graduating to be closer to family.
Dr. Garcia is board certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, Florida Society of Rheumatology, Palm Beach County Medical Society, American College of Physicians and American Medical Association.
Dr. Garcia’s main areas of interest are Rheumatoid and Psoriatic Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Connect Tissue Diseases (Lupus, Sjogren’s Syndrome, etc.) Vasculitis (Temporal Arteritis and Wegener’s, among others) and Osteoporosis. Dr. Garcia is a strong patient advocate, fluent in Spanish and English, who prides herself on providing great compassionate care. She and her husband enjoy playing golf, spending time with family and friends as well as traveling.
