Since its inception, the Crystal Ball has raised more than 9.4 million dollars for arthritis research and programs that directly support the 1.6 million Georgians living with arthritis. One of the biggest challenges is engaging the nearly 10,000 children in Georgia and nearly 300,000 children nationally who are suffering with arthritis. More than 75 percent of these children do not have access to vital information or proper medical care, and they simply do not have a voice in this fight. However, YOU can help give them that voice. Arthritis impacts not only the individual but their family too.
The funds raised at the Crystal Ball will help us provide empowering programs such as Camp AcheAway, a camp created especially for children diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and tailor’s programs to meet their specific needs. They provide the children with a greater understanding of arthritis, help them develop peer-to-peer support, increase their independence and self-confidence while discovering new skills and interests. This powerful camp is a life altering experience and is provided at no cost to the families it serves.
Each year the success of the Crystal Ball depends on countless volunteers, the generosity of individuals and corporate sponsors, and the support of the Arthritis Foundation staff. These combined efforts have established the Crystal Ball as one of the premier fundraising events in Atlanta. With your assistance, we can help provide support and love to the children and their families living with arthritis at this year’s event.
