RJ Hawk

RJ Hawk came to Arkansas from the small Texas town of Athens in 2004 to attend the University of Central Arkansas. After a shortened stint with the Bear baseball team, RJ decided pursued his degree in journalism and in marketing.

Upon graduation, RJ worked at many small stations around the state calling high school football and basketball games and in July of 2009, RJ was hired as the weekend producer at 103.7 The Buzz in Little Rock. Since that time, he worked his way through the ranks and became a producer of the Show With No Name, which has been consistently at the top of the ratings.

Along with being a producer/personality at The Buzz, RJ coordinates all the high school football and basketball championships that are aired on the station. He has been the voice of the state championships for the past 4 years. He also serves as a fill-in host for the station.

In the summer of 2013, RJ was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease called ankylosing spondylitis. Ankylosing spondylitis is a type of arthritis that affects the spine and large joints. Thanks to the expertise of Dr. James Abraham at the Little Rock Diagnostic clinic, he totally changed the way RJ was able to live his life. RJ went from having limited mobility in his neck and back, to a full range of movement.

RJ’s new outlook on life has motivated him to dabble in the entrepreneurial world. He has started a social media marketing company called Hawk Media Solutions, and has also partnered up with his good buddy Rodney Wagner to form Wagner Restoration and Home Repair.

RJ married his best friend, Brianna Hawk, in August of 2016, and they are expecting their first child in October of 2017.
